Crossheads off Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST No.2320 of 1952. The gunmetal slippers were very worn but recoverable. They were milled out to prepare them, they then had whitemetal cast into the prepared space. Final job was to machine the new whitemetal to give the correct clearances for the slidebars.
Axles for a 2' gauge new-build Kerr Stuart 0-4-2 tank locomotive.
The company worked closely with the team at "Workshop X" during the restoration of World War 1 Hunslet narrow gauge 4-6-0T locomotive, No.1215 of 1916. A lot of the valve gear components were either replaced or needed heavy repairs. Many of the fixtures and fittings were missing or damaged beyond recovery. Here is a small selection of the parts we contributed to the project.
