A large number of heritage diesel locomotives, both ex-BR and industrial, are fitted with the Westinghouse Type 'W' driver's brake valve. This is a very well designed and useful valve with a graduable action. There is a need for spares but the range is limited.

We have developed a seal kit which contains the following: piston cup, felt packing, spindle guide gasket, piston body gasket, and a nylon/rubber spindle gasket. We have also worked with our suppliers to get a full range of bespoke replacement springs manufactured.

In addition, we supply seal and spring kits for the Westinghouse Type 'WE' valve.

We have considerable experience in overhauling and repairing various designs of driver's air brake valve and are well placed to offer a complete valve refurbishment service.
